Welcome to your award-winning Community Farm
Visit the farmyard
The farmyard is free to visit and open to visitors between 10am - 1pm daily, no need to book!
Donations are welcome via the donation boxes located on the back of the bungalow near entrance, in the Small Animal Barn and outside the Cafe.
We now have contactless donation points in the Small Animal Barn and in the Cafe.
You can feed our animals with the feed provided by the farm, and donate for these Animal Feed Pots with cash or using one of the contactless donation points. Please return the pots as we re-use them.
We kindly ask that children are supervised by parents at all times and that visitors are quiet and calm when near the animals.
Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome.
Thank you for your co-operation.
ANIMAL WELFARE ON THE FARM
We take the welfare of all of our animals very seriously, but if you have any enquiries or concerns about any of the animals in the Farmyard or Farm Paddocks, please call 01722 330667 or email office@riverbournecommunityfarm.org.uk
PLEASE NOTE: Animals that may be grazing in the watermeadows on the right hand (river) side of Cow Lane are managed by the Devenish Bradshaw Charitable Trust, who own that land, and are not the Farm's animals. Any concerns about those animals should be directed to the Trust by emailing info@dbct.org
Farm Overview
River Bourne Community Farm is
a free to visit, city farm that sits alongside historic water meadows.
Our main focus is educating young people and serving the local community by providing volunteering opportunities, a friendly, relaxed meeting place and by hosting regular events for everyone to enjoy.
New Arrivals @ The Farm!
We are super excited to announce that our Alpacas "Athena" and "Wanda" have both recently given birth!
We now have two adorable baby boys "Apollo" & "Zeus". The babies are known as "Crias" males are known as "Machos" and females are known as "Hembra".
Apollo & Athena are both doing really well, however Wanda is currently suffering with mastitis so is unable to feed Zeus. He's currently being bottle fed by the staff here at the farm and is also doing well
BBC's Escape to the Country films on our farm!
We were thrilled when the BBC production team from Escape to the Country reached out to feature our farm in their popular house hunting TV show featuring a family who wanted to move to Wiltshire.
Back in 2023, the delightful Nicky Chapman and her team paid us a visit at River Bourne Community Farm to film a short piece for their TV programme featuring some of our animals and explaining a little bit about what we do here at the farm.
Nicky's fondness towards our animals was clear, particularly Stan the boar, who was very well behaved, and promptly sat down to enjoy a handful of apples. Our playful Pygmy goat kids also couldn't help having a jump around all over Nicky's beautiful dress!
Nicky's love of our farm went beyond just the animals and she very kindly shared her captured moments with us, and we've included some of her photos below.
If you missed the episode, you can still catch it on BBC iPlayer.
Series 23, Episode 37, and you'll spot our farm around the 23:45 mark. Don't miss the chance to see River Bourne Community Farm featured on national television!
